Bewdley’s 100th Carnival took place on the hottest weekend of the year, but nevertheless several intrepid members of Bewdley Rotary’s Fund Raising team set out early with the sole purpose of enjoying themselves and raising funds for the charities and good causes that we support by running a tombola stall.

The tombola stall was was well supported by Club members who donated over 150 prizes and by the local townspeople and visitors who purchased even more tickets when they learned that all proceeds would go to local charities and good causes.

Alongside this our District team had loaned us a Shelter Box, with the aim of raising public awareness for this worthy charity especially in the light of the recent earthquake in Venezuela. It did indeed generate interest and some donations direct to Shelter Box.

A fantastic day in our home town for Bewdley Rotary full of fun and fellowship whilst raising £545 for local good causes
