For over 10 Years Bewdley Rotary has run a Young Photographer photographic competition at Bewdley School and this year it was even better and bigger than ever with over 200 entries. The winning entries from this local round of the competition were submitted to the Midlands District round of the competition and we have recently received notification of success in both the intermediate and the senior levels.

The theme this year was “Happiness in Nature” and Emmiah, by capturing the beautiful pose of a squirrel, won the Intermediate section while Gracie’s entry of friends enjoying a walk in natural surroundings scooped the Senior prize.

The two finalists were presented with a framed copy of their photograph, gift vouchers and certificates by Graham Bullock, Vice President of Bewdley Rotary.

Their entries have gone forward to the Great Britain and Ireland final. We look forward with eager anticipation to news of the result and wish the two students the very best of luck.
