What was certainly one of the best Christmas trees we have ever donated to the town in over 30 years was successfully and swiftly felled, cut up and loaded onto a trailer.

Grateful thanks to the team, who checked in at dawn on Sunday 18^th January, with Neil and Rob doing the removal work and Roger, Keith P, Terry and Tony controlling the traffic.

A well deserved full English Breakfast was then partaken of at ‘The George’ before Terry and Rob transported the debris to Terry’s brother in law’s bonfire heap to be burned at a suitable time in the future.

Due to the very wet winter the tree stump expanded and could not be removed from the holder. Rob will keep a watchful eye on it and will remove it when it dries out sufficiently.
