What was certainly one of the best Christmas trees we have ever donated to the town in over 30 years was successfully and swiftly felled, cut up and loaded onto a trailer.
Grateful thanks to the team, who checked in at dawn on Sunday 18th January, with Neil and Rob doing the removal work and Roger, Keith P, Terry and Tony controlling the traffic.
A well deserved full English Breakfast was then partaken of at ‘The George’ before Terry and Rob transported the debris to Terry’s brother in law’s bonfire heap to be burned at a suitable time in the future.
Due to the very wet winter the tree stump expanded and could not be removed from the holder. Rob will keep a watchful eye on it and will remove it when it dries out sufficiently.
