Following the very successful fund raiser for the Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group in November last year when over £5000 was raised to support a FREE PSA testing session in Bewdley, this will now take place at The Bewdley Pines on Saturday 18th July.
WPCSG have set up the simple blood tests for up to 250 men and so far places are being taken very fast.
Prostate Cancer is called the silent killer because there are no obvious symptoms until it is probably too late.
Any man over the age of 45 should have a regular PSA test as there is a 1 in 8 chance they will develop prostate cancer at some time in their life and, if there is a history of cancer in the family, on the female side as well as the male, this becomes a 1 in 4 chance.
Update 6th July 2026 – All the 250 spaces for this testing session have now been taken. However, if you go to mypsatests.org.uk you can register for future testing sessions.
