For the past 13 years Doug Parker, Steve Ashcroft and Martin Lewis have become a regular fixture during the month of March and once again on Saturday 21st of March 2026 entertained a full house at St. George’s Hall at our annual Music and Laughter Evening.

Doug as usual told humorous stories and interacted with an appreciative audience. There was the usual singalong raising the roof which also raised everyone’s spirits and made it another memorable night.

The raffle was well supported thanks to our very persuasive and charming ticket sellers while the guys on the bar kept the drinks coming and all together the fantastic sum of £1720 was raised.

Thanks to everyone who helped setting up the hall and clearing away after the show and also to Bob and Annie Hill who bring everything together and which ensured another successful evening.

Bob has already been in contact with Doug about a return next year and the dates at present are 13th or 20th March. We’ll let you know by a revision to this post when the date is confirmed.
